We are J2, an award-winning creative agency looking for a conceptual copywriter to join our ever-growing team in either our London W1 or Hertfordshire office.

J2 is an agency with a current head count of just shy of 50 and built around a culture of inclusiveness, hard-work and competitiveness. It’s a relaxed environment, but that doesn’t hide the fact – we’re on a mission to be the best agency in our space.

We are looking for a Conceptual Copywriter to write clear and concise copy for all forms of marketing communications – both on and off-line. Your words will inform and engage target audiences.

Our ideal candidate is team-spirited, skilled and a highly creative/conceptual writer with an eye for detail. If you can grasp project requirements quickly and offer valuable insight, we’d like to meet you.

You’ll be collaborating with art directors, designers, client services colleagues and clients on large- and small-scale marketing projects. There will also be a need to conduct high-quality research and interviews as well as edit and proofread copy as needed.


  • Experience as a copywriter or related role with excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills (minimum 2 years’ experience)
  • Creativity/conceptual thinking is your ‘go-to’ approach.
  • Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
  • Strong research skills
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • Preferably a BSc/BA in marketing, English, journalism or similar
